How often do you forget something? Is forgetfulness a sign of early Alzheimer’s? We are told to accept this as a normal part of aging. In your 20's, you begin to lose brain cells a few at a time and there is less of the chemicals your brain needs to work. The older you are, the more these changes affect your memory. Technically, this information is accurate, but have you ever asked why and not settled for "you're just getting older"? Have you ever noticed when you are stressed out that you can't remember things? There is a scientific explanation for lost brain cells, less brain chemicals produced, and stress contributing to memory loss. The good news is that memory loss is reversible and the effects of stress can be lessened.
There is something you can do about memory loss.
Stress syndromes create many vicious cycles that impact your body in ways that make it difficult and confusing to resolve. The first vicious cycle involves the relationship a part of the brain called the hippocampus has with the pituitary and adrenal glands. These three glands work together to help us deal with stress by producing the stress hormone "Cortisol". The more stress you are under, the more cortisol that is produced. The hippocampus is the brain's center for memory and serves as a "brake" to slow this production down.
The hippocampus is very sensitive to Cortisol. When you are exposed to stress--be it mental, emotional or physical--for long periods, your hippocampus is exposed to cortisol for long periods. This exposure to cortisol causes "brain cell death" by excitotoxicity. Thus, as you age, the more you and your hippocampus are exposed to stress, and the older you get, the more brain cells you lose.
Another major contributor to your stress syndrome vicious cycles is your digestive function and you may not even know about it. Impaired digestion will cause food sensitivities to gluten, milk, soy, eggs and others. This generally does not cause severe symptoms, but does place your body in a chronic stress response. Chronic stress in your gut produces more cortisol which lowers your gut immunity. This creates inflammation that will create a vicious cycle between the gut and the hippocampus causing further memory loss. This is pretty typical for someone with short-term memory loss and unstable, unpredictable stress syndrome symptoms.
These vicious cycles need to be stopped to prevent further memory loss. The active ingredient in
Adrenacalm Balancing Cream has been shown in clinical studies to reduce cortisol levels. (Studies available upon request.) Once these cortisol levels have been lowered, the changes to the memory center of the brain are reversible and optimization of your health can be restored. In addition to this, studies have also shown improvement in cell metabolism and communication, protection from free radical damage, decreased anxiety, improved mood, motivation and depression, enhanced memory, and the ability to think clearly. This helps restore memory loss.
If you would like to find out how well you are responding to stress, go to our website link below and fill out the Metabolic Assessment. If you have any categories that show 1's, 2's or 3's, you are probably having trouble dealing with the effects of stress on your body and would benefit from
Adrenacalm Balancing Cream.
