Have you ever kissed someone and WHOA dragon breath. That bad breath spoils the moment and makes you give them the cold shoulder. You get turned off before things ever get started? But wait, didn't you see them brush their teeth and gargle with mouth wash to kill all those nasty germs that cause bad breath? The germs in the mouth theory just left with the moment. Why is the bad breath still there?
It's really rather simple. Your mouth is the beginning of a long tube that passes through you body. As we have discussed on our website, if you do not have proper physical and chemical breakdown of food, it will stay in your body for prolonged periods. Think of it this way. How long would you leave a meal out on your counter in your 72 degree air conditioned house before you put it in the fridge? Not long. If your digestive system isn't working properly, this same food that HAD to be put back in the fridge is now in your 98.6 degree body. If your system is not working properly, food can sit in the stomach up to fourteen hours alone. Not to mention those of you who have bowel movements once a week. This food will rot in your body as it would, left out on in the sun. You just got the cold shoulder a little while ago maybe that will help keep the food from spoiling inside your body!
Now that we know what is happening, what can be done about it? Yes, bacteria and germs are involved but not just in your mouth but also in your gastrointestinal tract and vagina. This is called
Dysbiosis and can occur in several locations at the same time. Under normal circumstances our body's have a symbiotic relationship with bacteria. These good bacteria do a variety of health promoting things for us, including breaking down food for manufacturing vitamins, detoxification, and protecting us from unfriendly organisms.
The amount of bacteria in our system is fairly stable but is affected by digestive chemistry, antibiotic use and how healthy you are. If your digestive chemistry is off, food stays in you body longer and since you've probably been on antibiotics, this creates a buffet for bacteria and yeast, who are actually there to assist in breaking down the food so you can eliminate it. This begs the question - Is it the bacteria or the rotting food causing the odor? The answer is both: the more food there is rotting in your body, the greater the number of bacteria and yeast there will be to break it down. The bacteria are just doing their job.
There is a simple solution. Digestive chemistry starts with stomach acid. Most people are deficient in it. Yes, deficient! Heartburn pain is the burn felt from the digestive enzymes trapped in your pancreas, autodigesting it because the acid that stimulates their release isn't there. A good way to restart the proper sequence of digestion is to remove, replace, repair, and restore the chemistry necessary for good digestion. This often eliminates heartburn and assists your body in digestion, eliminating those offensive odors.
Another recommendation is to make sure your body is balanced structurally and functioning well by seeing Dr. Dave. If your hips are off, your body will contract the diaphragm to hold you in place structurally but this impairs proper digestion in the process. Your stomach can't move properly, causing food to stay in it longer, upsetting the whole digestive process. They will assure your body is properly aligned and will assist you and your body in prioritizing the restoration of your natural digestion.
